Running out of cash is the most educational thing that can happen in Moneyflow. Version 1.2.12 makes sure you notice while it is happening.

Short on cash? You choose

Every cash shortfall now stops the game and asks how you want to cover it: with the credit card or with an emergency loan. Before, if you had no card, the emergency loan was simply taken for you without a word. Now you see the choice, and you see what it costs.

The bankruptcy countdown

The popup also shows how close you are to the edge, in three numbers.

Run out of road and the game is over. That is bankruptcy, and it used to arrive without a warning. Now you can see it coming, which is more than most people get in real life.

Emergency loans got cheaper than the card

An emergency loan used to cost more than a credit card. It now costs less, though neither is cheap and being desperate has never been a bargain. The card is still the dearest way to borrow, and the emergency loan is what you reach for when the card cannot cover the gap.

The dice that rolled themselves

The dice used to roll again by themselves after you closed a card, which was either a bug or the most passive-aggressive feature we have ever shipped. It is fixed, and doubles now roll again straight away, when you would expect them to.

Games that follow you

If you started a game as a guest and then signed in, the game now moves onto your account, so Continue finds it. A mid-game resume after a reload works again as well.

Next in the series is 1.3.0, with 24 new cards.

The release notes, word for word

Short on cash? You now choose how to cover it, and see how close you are to bankruptcy: emergency loans in a row, borrowing room left and paydays to go. Emergency loans now cost less than a credit card. Fixes: the dice no longer roll by themselves after you close a card (doubles now roll again right away), and a game you started before signing in continues on your account.
